    An older store in need of a make-over. They have the catalogue items in stock each week, quite often the specials are great value. This is a store which offers a loyalty program and help local charities and clubs.

    I would frequently engage in conversation with all the staff and they know me by face; some know me by name. I sought to return spoiled Maltesers that I purchased the day before. I had never previously sought to return or refund items from the store.

    I have worked near this particular IGA for over 3 years and have attended nearly every day of the work-week since August 2013. I have spent thousands of dollars there.

    Not only did the Manager refuse to issue a refund without a receipt, but he claimed not to recognise me - in fact, he said that he does know me from a bar of soap. This gentlemen is either so disinterested in his work that he actually did not recognise me, or else he lacks understanding of best business practices and business integrity. Now going to Coles.
